As we accelerate our transformation into an AI-enabled, data-driven global financial services organization, we are seeking a visionary Senior Vice President, Global Chief IT Architecture to define and lead the enterprise technology architecture that will power the next generation of automotive financing, digital experiences, intelligent operations, and innovation.This is one of the most influential technology leadership roles in the company, partnering directly with executive leadership, business leaders, product teams, cybersecurity, engineering, data, and operations organizations to create a modern architecture strategy that enables growth, resilience, security, scalability, and AI-driven innovation across global markets.The SVP Global Chief IT Architecture is responsible for leading enterprise architecture functions across application, solution, data, and cloud domains, while guiding innovation, defining standards, and ensuring architectural governance across all technology initiatives.Key responsibilities include:Enterprise Strategy & Leadership Establish and lead the enterprise technology architecture vision and roadmapProvide significant input into GM Financial's overall technology strategy and directionAlign architecture strategy with business priorities and corporate objectivesAdvise executive leadership on emerging technologies and industry trendsArchitecture Governance & Standards Establish architectural governance, standards, and decision frameworksEnsure proper governance routines and compliance with standardsDefine and maintain enterprise-wide architecture patterns and best practicesTechnology & Platform Modernization Lead modernization of core applications, platforms, and infrastructureDrive cloud-native, API-first, and event-driven architecture strategiesReduce technical debt and simplify technology environmentsMaintain deep knowledge of existing systems, tools, and technologiesAI, Data & Innovation Define and lead enterprise AI and intelligent automation architecture strategyEnable scalable AI platforms and advanced analytics capabilitiesPromote data architecture, governance, quality, and decision intelligenceChampion innovation initiatives and apply resources to high-value opportunitiesRisk, Security & Compliance Ensure secure-by-design architecture and embed cybersecurity controlsDrive regulatory compliance, resilience, and operational risk managementPeople Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop a global architecture organizationRecruit and retain top talent and build communities of practiceProvide guidance and mentorship on technical and architectural issuesQualificationsWhat makes you an ideal candidate?Strong expertise across enterprise architecture, cloud, data, AI/ML platforms, cybersecurity, and integration architectureAdvanced knowledge of architecture patterns (e.g., microservices, APIs) and design methodologiesStrategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsWork Experience and Education:15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience required10+ years leading enterprise architecture in large global organizations requiredSignificant experience in regulated industries such as financial services preferredBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field requiredMaster's Degree preferredNormal office environment with some travel as neededWhat We OfferGenerous benefits package available on day one to include: 401K matching, bonding leave for new parents (12 weeks, 100% paid), tuition assistance, training, GM employee auto discount, community service pay and nine company holidays.Our Culture: Our team members define and shape our culture — an environment that welcomes innovative ideas, fosters integrity, and creates a sense of community and belonging.
