Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor‘s, Master‘s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active Texas physical therapy license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC).
• Hospital experience required. Candidates without hospital experience will not be considered.
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred.
• Inpatient rehabilitation experience and CARE scoring experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with basic lift equipment and standard therapy equipment.
• Ability to perform evaluations and treatments; experience with MBS for speech therapy is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based, fast-paced unit.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 0800-1700.
• At least 2 weekend days per month required.
• Patient ratio typically 5 patients.
• Unit size: approximately 15 beds and 20 staff.
• Floating: may be required to float within acute care hospital settings.
• Scrub color/attire: navy blue.
