Director - AI Initiatives

Cencora seeks a Director of AI Initiatives to lead artificial intelligence strategy and implementation across the Health Systems and Government Services Business Unit. The role involves identifying AI opportunities, developing governance frameworks, and collaborating cross-functionally to drive competitive advantage and operational excellence in a regulated industry.

Responsibilities

Identify, prioritize, and drive AI development opportunities across the business unit
Develop and implement policies, processes, and workflows for consistent AI execution
Collaborate with cross-functional departments to identify AI initiatives improving financial and operational performance
Lead stakeholder alignment on strategic plans, sequencing, and outcomes
Maintain governance protocols and escalation procedures for AI-related activities

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business strategy, finance, data analytics, or related field
8+ years experience in strategy, business development, or management consulting
Proven track record in regulated and complex operating environments
Experience leading cross-functional decision-making forums and governing outcomes
Ability to translate complex business problems into structured analyses and recommendations
Advanced analytics, modeling, and forecasting skills for capacity and value decisions
Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders
