Head of Commercial Analytics

Responsibilities Guide a team of trading and analytics experts, cultivating a collaborative, high-performance culture and establishing a “center of excellence” within the organization. Ensure that team initiatives align with business priorities and adhere to internal standards. Strategically allocate team resources to support the goals of the Commercial team and broader organizational objectives. Take a “hands-on” role by contributing to ideation and execution of use cases when necessary. Optimization and Performance Initiatives (OPI) Oversee the identification, evaluation, and prioritization of OPI projects to maximize value for the trading desk. Regularly review and optimize processes to enhance trading effectiveness and manage risks. Stakeholder Engagement Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with company objectives. Translate complex analytical insights into clear, actionable recommendations for Commercial leadership. Contribute to cross-functional initiatives that strengthen the organization’s trading capabilities. Market Knowledge Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, regulatory developments, and technological advancements in the energy trading industry. Provide strategic recommendations and expert insights based on comprehensive market analysis and data-driven research. Lead initiatives to deepen the organization’s understanding of market dynamics and their influence on trading strategies. Key Success Indicators Effective deployment of analytics-driven use cases, resulting in measurable improvements in trading performance. Achievement of targeted P&L outcomes through strategic trading and operational enhancements. High levels of team engagement and professional growth, evidenced by strong performance reviews and successful project delivery.
