Front of House Manager – Casual Italian Dining & Event Space
Location: Downtown Detroit, Michigan
Position Type: Full-Time
We’re looking for an energetic and hospitality-driven Front of House Manager to join our downtown Detroit casual Italian restaurant and event venue. This role is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys guest interaction, thrives in a fast-paced social atmosphere, and leads by example on the floor.
Our restaurant combines approachable Italian cuisine, lively service, and private events in a fun, team-oriented environment. We’re seeking a manager who loves being visible in the dining room, connecting with guests, and creating memorable experiences.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily front of house operations including dining room, bar, and event service
- Engage with guests throughout service by touching tables and ensuring exceptional hospitality
- Support and motivate servers, hosts, bartenders, and support staff
- Maintain a positive, upbeat atmosphere for both guests and team members
- Assist with scheduling, staffing, training, and shift management
- Coordinate with kitchen and event teams to ensure smooth service execution
- Handle guest concerns professionally and efficiently
- Help maintain cleanliness, organization, and service standards
- Support private events and special functions as needed
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant management or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Outgoing personality with a passion for hospitality and guest engagement
- Ability to multitask and stay composed in a high-energy environment
- Team-oriented mindset with a hands-on management style
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Experience with event service or banquet operations is a plus
