This opportunity entails leading business and client development efforts for the National Transit Architecture practice. The Business Development Director partners with Line Leaders & Client Service Leaders on implementing HNTB’s Sophisticated Planning Approach (SPA) and supports the Sophisticated Sales Approach (SSA) process as assigned by supervisor. Responsible for partnering with Division leadership to develop and execute client strategic plans, external relationship plans and other client focus strategies. This position may also assume the role of Client Service Leader and/or Pursuit Champion for assigned client(s).*This position requires 25-50% travelWhat You’ll Do:In collaboration with Line Leadership, responsible for defining and executing growth strategies that increase HNTB’s market share in a large office or multiple office(s) or division.Leads and participates in business development activities and client-focused initiatives in partnership with a Division President (DP), Office Leaders (OL’s) and Client Service Leaders (CSL’s)Collaborates with division and office leadership to implement our Sophisticated Planning Approach (SPA), including developing and executing external relationship plans and other client focus strategies.Supports the development of strategic plans, collaborating with national resources and line leaders to clearly define growth goals and strategies with foundation and future foundation clients.Serves as a key resource to Client Service Leaders and Teams to strengthen relationships at all levels of the client organization and with external influencers.
