Job Summary:
Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) located in Utica, New York. This position involves providing specialized nursing care to adult patients with neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory conditions. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Utica, New York
• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); active New York license; at least 2 years of experience in Intermediate Care Unit / Progressive Care Unit (IMCU / PCU); documentation of travel experience; valid drivers licenses with address matching demographics; current certifications meeting specialty requirements; experience with EPIC electronic health record system.
• Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with specialty equipment such as temporary pacers, chest tubes, arterial lines (A lines), Bipap, Neptune Vapo; experience with chronic ventilator patients.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Unit handles adult patients, with common diagnoses including neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory conditions such as COPD, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), sepsis, myocardial infarction (MI), cardiovascular step-down post-operative care. Equipment used includes temporary pacers, chest tubes, arterial lines, Bipap, and Neptune Vapo. The unit has 64 beds, including 15 designated neuro beds. Scrub color is navy blue.
