Perform advanced patient monitoring and electrocardiogram procedures within a hospital setting to support accurate diagnosis and patient care. Ensure compliance with certification and licensure requirements while providing high-quality telemetry services. Responsibilities:
- Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and interpret EKG results to identify abnormal rhythms.
- Operate and troubleshoot monitoring equipment, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Document patient data accurately within electronic health record systems, including EPIC.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to relay critical findings promptly.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain compliance with certification standards such as AHA.
- Complete all assigned modules and certifications prior to start to ensure readiness.
- Hold a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Maintain current BLS certification.
- Obtain and sustain Phlebotomy and 12-lead EKG certifications.
- Successfully pass the NHA Certified EKG Technician exam and demonstrate proficiency in EKG interpretation.
- Possess at least 1 year of hospital-based patient care experience.
- 1-2 years of experience in Telemetry or EKG preferred.
