Trusted.The AUKUS, Submarines, and Industrial Base Group (ASIG), within the Sea, Land, Air Division, provides timely, objective, analytic assessments that integrate technical, operational, programmatic, policy and business analysis to Director Submarine Program directorates and key stakeholders surrounding submarine platform construction. Director Submarine Program unifies submarine platform procurement activities, which includes the Columbia-class SSBN program (a Major Defense Acquisition Program and the Navy’s top acquisition priority), the Virginia-class SSN program, the new SSN-X program (developing the next generation attack submarine), and the AUKUS Integration and Acquisition Office, to bring improved capabilities to our undersea forces. Analysts and Engineers supporting Director Submarine Program will continue SPA’s decades of support to the SSBN force, as well as supporting oversight of cutting-edge attack submarine construction, assisting in developing the design requirements for the SSN platform of the future, and helping plan and execute new and innovative strategies to strengthen the critical submarine shipbuilding industrial base. These are high-profile, major acquisition and manufacturing programs of significant importance to the future capabilities of the US Navy in an era of renewed strategic competition. #MCResponsibilitiesThe Program Analyst will provide support to the NAVSEA AUKUS program, focusing on program support to the SSN AUKUS Support (Phase 3) Directorate. Responsibilities include working with government and industry partners across the trilateral (US, UK, and Australia) nations to support the SSN-AUKUS design. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, facilitating knowledge exchange between the US and UK, coordinating with US government stakeholders, assisting in preparations for test execution at US facilities, and supporting decisions and procurement of long-lead materials required for the SSN-AUKUS build.This position includes technical and administrative support of program wide activities including risk management, scheduling, strategic advising, budget management, technical assistance, and event coordination. This position is located at the SPA HQ in Alexandria, VA but requires frequent travel to the Washington Navy Yard (WNY) in Washington, DC. There is some opportunity for up to ~15% travel to partner and industry stakeholder locations.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree5+ years of government or military related experience with US NavyAbility to work on-site at SPA HQ in Alexandria, VA up to full time with frequent local travel to the WNYD based upon the needs of the client; remote work up to 40% will occasionally be availableProficient in using Microsoft Office, including Word and PowerPoint, to communicate to decision makersCurrent DoD security clearance - minimum Secret, with the ability to maintain it throughout employmentDesired Qualifications: Experience with Team Submarine, NAVSEA or other Navy program officesExperience with USN submarine operations, design, construction, and/or other USN submarine support activitiesExperience with Foreign Military Sales (FMS)Experience working with international partnersPay Range InformationAt SPA, we strive to deliver a robust total compensation package that will attract and retain top talent.
