The overall objective of this role is to drive applications systems analysis and programming activities.Responsibilities:Manage multiple teams of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions)Provide strategic influence and exercise control over resources, budget management and planning while monitoring end resultsUtilize in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issuesEnsure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standardsIntegrate in-depth knowledge of applications development with overall technology function to achieve established goalsProvide evaluative judgement based on analysis of facts in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations including drawing from internal and external sourcesInfluence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions, as well as communicate with external parties as necessaryAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.Recommended Qualifications:10+ years of relevant experience in Back End Java Development.Experience with managing the software development of complex and critical platformsProficient with full stack technology capabilities (Java, Spring Frameworks, Javascript and associated frameworksExpertise with cloud computing technologies (AWS, Kubernetes, etc.) and micro-services architectures (server and front-end)Knowledgeable with database technologies – both relational and document (NoSQL) based storageExperience with various messaging-based technologies – JMS, Kafka, MQ, etc.Experience designing reference architectures and conformance to enterprise blueprintsExperience building and managing high-performing technology teamsExperience with leading a development group and ability to guide the team on sound architecture and design principles along with delivering a quality softwareAbility to perform code reviews to ensure the code hygieneVery detail oriented and ability to collaborate with various partner teams on project deliveryProficient with Agile software development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etcExcellent written and verbal communicationsKnowledge/experience with Treasury business and Liquidities preferable, but not requiredEducation:Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experienceMaster’s degree preferred------------------------------------------------------Job Family Group: Technology------------------------------------------------------Job Family:Applications Development------------------------------------------------------Time Type:Full time------------------------------------------------------Primary Location:Jersey City New Jersey United States------------------------------------------------------Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:$176,720.00 - $265,080.00In addition to salary, Citi’s offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
