Sub/Relief/Per Diem Direct Support Professional (DSP) Availability Work where and when there are open shifts between Providence, North Providence, East Providence, Johnston, North Smithfield, and Chepachet, RI. Schedule Options 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM, 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM, 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM, and 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM. Rate of Pay $22.00 per hour. Responsibilities Direct Support Professionals provide supervision and support to clients in our residential group home setting. They offer hands‑on, person‑centered care and support, assisting with daily living activities, house cleaning, toileting, showering, job coaching, role modeling, and other general responsibilities. DSPs work with a supportive team that includes the Residential Manager, Assistant Residential Manager, and other DSPs to support residents. Education, Experience, and Skills Needed Minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals who have autism and developmental disabilities (3+ years preferred). Must work a minimum of 2 shifts per month to stay active. High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Proficient reading, writing, and oral English skills. Clear speaking, seeing, hearing, and legible writing for documentation. Basic computer skills. Professional and respectful communication skills with clients and families. Ability to intervene as needed, including physical restraint, lifting, and transporting clients. Ability to sit, stand, lift up to 50 pounds, walk, bend, and reach regularly. Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years with a registered and insured vehicle. First Aid/CPR certification (training provided if needed). Medication administration (training provided). Pro‑ACT certification (training provided if needed).
