About the Position

Job Title: High Risk Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: 2 years in OB License: Active RN Licensure Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate Must-Have: Epic Experience Description: High Risk Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse is accountable for the assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care. This includes direct patient care, patient and family education, and transitions of care in an acute patient setting. Delivers holistic and individualized care to all patients in the assigned area. Develops, implements, and coordinates a plan of care that incorporates psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors. Fosters and maintains collaborative relationships between patients, their family or support group, physicians, and other healthcare providers through timely and effective communications. Required skills include administration of blood products, amnioinfusion, antepartum care, anticoagulation therapy, and assessment of fetal heart rates. Knowledge in cesarean sections, labor management, and postpartum hemorrhage is essential. Demonstrated ability in high-risk deliveries and lactation support is important. All candidates must complete labs and background verification prior to beginning employment. Candidates are expected to provide accurate work history information for verification purposes. Max requested time off is limited to 7 days per contract. Candidates posting for this position should be prepared to meet the outlined qualification criteria.
