Child Life Specialist (Per Diem)
Position Summary/ Department Summary: Per diem Child Life Specialist. We require a minimum of 2 shifts per month. The Child Life Specialist will be responsible for:
- Participating in therapeutic activities and programs to meet patients' psychosocial and developmental needs, and facilitate adjustment to health care experiences
- Serve as member of multidisciplinary team.
- Delegate work assignments to volunteers/Child Life Assistant's and participate in clinical training of student interns.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Child Life, or a closely related field with a concentration in child life
- 600 hour Child Life internship under the supervision of a certified child life specialist.
- Experience:
General skills to resolve problems requiring the use of child development theory, professional child life principles, and experienced‑based knowledge. Well-developed writing skills, and excellent communication skills including conflict resolution to effectively work as a team member.
- Licensure/ Certifications: Certification in Child Life Specialist required within 1 year of hire for all new hires.

Standard Hours per Week: 1
Pay Range: $52,228.80-$83,564.00 Annual
