Job Title: Travel RN - ICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in acute care hospital ICU License: Active Registered Nurse license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Must-Have: - Minimum 1 year current acute care hospital ICU experience - BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications Description: This position is for a travel RN in the ICU. The unit consists of 26 beds with a staff of 15 members. There are 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, and 1 Patient Care Tech on the day shift, and the night shift has the same staffing structure. The patient ratio is 1:2. Common equipment used includes balloon pumps, CRRT, and hypothermia devices. The EMR system is Meditech. Candidates should have strong organizational skills and a positive attitude. Candidates with prior Meditech experience or prior travel experience in large facilities will be given preference. Typical procedures performed in this unit include heart catheterizations, balloon pump management, CRRT, hypothermia treatments, and cardioversion. Central line placements and medication drips are also standard procedures. This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with experienced staff. Ideal candidates are driven and engaged.
