Per Diem Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy | Tucson, Arizona

This per diem position offers an opportunity to support a team of retail pharmacists serving multiple pharmacies in the Tucson area. The focus is on providing reliable coverage for call outs, vacations, and volume surges, ensuring consistent pharmacy operations within well-established community locations.


Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate dispensing and counseling within retail pharmacy settings
• Collaborate effectively with pharmacy teams and technicians, adapting to various store sizes
• Complete training sessions to become proficient with QS1 system and site protocols
• Maintain immunization privileges and adhere to BLS standards
• Support smooth pharmacy operations during hours generally from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday, with some stores open until 8 p.m.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a retail pharmacy environment
• Immunization certification and current BLS card required
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in pharmacist-only sites or alongside technician teams
• Willingness to participate in training sessions and adapt to different workflows
• Availability to work 2-4 days per week on a per diem basis, providing flexible coverage

Location: Tucson, Arizona area, covering several pharmacy sites within the community
