School Speech Language Pathologist - Lakewood, Ohio

Job Description

Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Two exciting contract opportunities are available for the upcoming academic year, from August 6, 2026, through May 28, 2027. Work full-time (40 hours per week) with PreK and elementary caseloads, and experience the satisfaction of meaningful impact alongside a collaborative, professional team. This W2 contract assignment offers hourly pay ranging from $43 to $48, ensuring your expertise is recognized and valued.

Key Qualifications:

Hold a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) required
Valid state licensure (or eligibility) for Speech-Language Pathology in Ohio
Recent experience providing SLP services in school settings, particularly with PreK and elementary populations
Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
Passionate about fostering language and communication growth in young learners

Essential Responsibilities:

Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
Develop and implement individualized intervention plans
Provide direct and consultative therapy to students in collaboration with teachers and staff
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines
Engage families and caregivers in supporting student progress
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
