Laundry Attendant

Summary

Fresh air, nature, and clean linens! This is a unique opportunity to work outdoors in some of the country's most popular national parks. As a Laundry Attendant, you play a critical role in what makes Under Canvas so unique, providing our guests with crisp linens and fresh towels as they sleep under the stars. Reporting to a Laundry Supervisor, you will work with a team of peers to clean and restock linens for a camp location. This is a seasonal, hourly position and includes the option of team member housing for the duration of employment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a supply of clean linens and towels
• Sort used linens, load washers, run the wash cycle, dry, fold, and restock
• Assist team members throughout the camp as necessary to ensure high standards of service for all guests
• Demonstrate the stamina to work long hours in varying weather conditions
• Interact regularly with co-workers and guests in a genuine, professional manner
• Demonstrate the ability to problem solve independently or in collaboration with your team and/or supervisor
• Eagerly seek opportunities to ensure guests have everything they need
• Maintain a clean laundry area and follow proper OSHA/HAZCOM procedures
• Work efficiently to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards
• Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Friendly, team oriented, and ability to follow direction

Additional Information

• This position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipment, when applicable.
• This position requires that the individual is able to lift a minimum of 45lbs independently.
• Physical demands associated with this position include extensive walking, standing, bending, twisting, lifting, and maneuvering in an outdoor environment on uneven surfaces.
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions including but not limited to heat, cold, rain, snow, humidity, and wind.
• This position is contingent upon the satisfactory completion of a background check and/or motor vehicle records check, if requested by Under Canvas.
