LDRP Registered Nurse (RN)

The LDRP Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum. The role involves working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective care for patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care in a variety of clinical situations.
• Monitor patient conditions and provide updates to the healthcare team.
• Perform necessary medical procedures and interventions as required.
• Assist with couplet care, including high-risk obstetrics, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation using Epic electronic health records.

Shifts and Scheduling

This position requires working three 12-hour shifts per week, with shifts scheduled from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM. Nurses are expected to work every third weekend and may be required to be on-call, fulfilling two 12-hour shifts within a six-week period. The facility allows for the possibility of some schedule accommodations, pending managerial approval.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery nursing experience.
• Active RN license in South Carolina or a Multi-State/Compact RN license.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Beginner, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM, and NRP is required.
• Preferred certifications include AWHONN Advanced and STABLE.
• Experience with Epic electronic health records is required.

Additional Information

This is an acute care position that involves floating within the scope of practice as necessary. Travelers should be prepared to be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season, which runs from June through November. Please note that local candidates within a 60-mile radius are not accepted for this role.
