The Automotive Technician will focus on diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing passenger cars within a small team environment while often working independently. Utilizing both diagnostic tools and software, this role ensures vehicles operate safely and efficiently without requiring on-call or emergency work. Although no formal advancement path is available, the position offers hands-on experience with various vehicle systems and components.
Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle diagnostics using specialized tools and software
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on passenger cars
- Repair mechanical and electrical issues, including parts replacement
- Utilize appropriate tools effectively and safely
- Work independently and collaborate within a small team
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Be able to provide your own tools within first 30 days
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in automotive repair
- Proficiency in engine diagnostics, brake systems, electrical systems, and hydraulics
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Effective communication and time management abilities
