About the Role


About the role

PSS CC is building a set of AI-powered business applications on a shared backend architecture: a master orchestrator model that routes to domain-specific AI models, grounded in a canonical enterprise data model. This role builds the applications people use: the interfaces, APIs, and services that sit between that backend and the sales, finance, and operations teams relying on it.

You'll work across the stack - front-end interfaces, backend services and APIs, and the integration layer connecting to AI models and enterprise data - on whichever solution needs it most as the ecosystem grows.
Responsibilities

• Build and maintain web application front-ends for the ecosystem's tools (customer intelligence dashboards, AP/AR review interfaces, quoting workflows, internal AI assistants).

• Design and implement backend APIs and services that connect front-end applications to AI models, business logic, and the underlying data layer.

• Work with existing Python-based services and SQL-backed data views, and help migrate them toward the platform's evolving canonical data model as it comes online.

• Integrate application features with LLM-backed capabilities - sending the right context to a model and rendering its response - following the platform's established grounding and security patterns rather than building ad hoc AI calls per feature.

• Collaborate with data engineering, IT leadership, and (where applicable) third-party vendor platforms to ship features end-to-end.

• Write tests, participate in code review, and keep security and data-handling practices consistent with the platform's standards, particularly around what data can reach an AI model and what can't.

Skills

Required

• 4+ years of professional full stack development experience.

• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript and a modern front-end framework (React preferred).

• Solid backend experience with Python and REST API design.

• Working SQL skills and comfort querying and shaping data from a relational or cloud data warehouse.

• Experience integrating third-party APIs into production applications.

• Ability to work independently across unfamiliar codebases and pick up context quickly - this role moves between projects as priorities shift.

Preferred

• Experience building features on top of LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI, or similar) - prompt/response handling, streaming responses, structured output.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) for hosting application and inference layers.

• Experience with Snowflake or another cloud data warehouse.

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and code scanning tooling.

Nice to have

• Background in enterprise B2B software, distribution, or ERP-adjacent systems.

• Experience working alongside data or Machine Learning (ML) team building shared platform capabilities rather than one-off features.

How success is measured in the first 6 months

• Shipped and maintaining at least one production-facing feature or interface within the ecosystem.

• Comfortable working across at least two of the platform's active solutions.

• Able to build a new AI-integrated feature following the platform's existing grounding and security patterns without requiring architectural guidance each time.
