Responsibilities include:

• Delivering one-to-one guidance and support for a student throughout the school day.
• Assisting with the implementation of the student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) to encourage participation in classroom activities and academic progress.
• Supporting behavior strategies, facilitating communication, and addressing daily functional needs to help promote the student’s independence and well-being.
• Collaborating with classroom teachers and support staff to ensure student safety, consistent routines, and an inclusive learning experience.
• Fostering a positive, encouraging environment where students are motivated to reach their goals.

Preferred qualifications and experience:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or instructional aide working with children across elementary, middle, or high school settings.
• Comfort and competence in supporting students with special needs and diverse abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with an ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
• Familiarity with implementing IEPs and behavior intervention plans is highly valued.
