Nurse Manager - Observation Unit

Job Summary The Nurse Manager is responsible for the operational functions of the nursing unit(s) he or she oversees. All responsibilities are carried out in accordance with the mission, vision, strategic imperatives, and standards of LCHD, American Nurses Association Standards, and the SC Nurse Practice Act. Minimum Qualifications Minimum Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing Minimum Years of Experience: 3 Years of Experience as an RN (At least 2 Years should be in a Leadership Position/Capacity) Substitutable Education & Experience (Optional): None. Required Certifications/Licensure: Current RN License to Practice in South Carolina; National Nursing Certification in Specialty at Time of Hire (or required within 6 months); Current CPR Certification. Required Training: None. Essential Functions Provides excellent service to our customers (internal and external) as one of the fundamental objectives of Lexington Medical Center. Measures and monitors patient/customer satisfaction, reviews feedback, and develops action plans with staff to meet goals. Meets all requirements as defined by Lexington Medical Center’s policies: Completes yearly safety training and other mandatory classes. Completes employee health workup. Meets departmental attendance requirements. Ensures hazardous waste / pharmaceuticals are properly discarded, stored, and managed with compatible waste streams, labeled and closed before off‑site disposal; initial RCRA training within 6 months, ongoing annual RCRA training.
