Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Software Test Engineer to work onsite at their client's facility in Spring, Texas. This person will be working in a lab environment, supporting firmware test engineering on high performance computing (HPC) servers.\n\nResponsibilities include:\n - Manual testing and troubleshooting of HPC Embedded SW components (Controllers, BMC, and BIOS).\nReview customer facing documentation for the HPC Software Embedded deliverables.\nConfiguration of specific test setup for verifying customer issues.\nProvide status of the testing to the HPE Project Manager on a timely basis as requested.\n - Develop test automation for Cray embedded software components. Requires proficiency with Python.\n - Validate embedded SW deliverables prior to release.\nDevelop test cases for embedded SW features.\n - Troubleshoot, root cause analysis, and triage of defects found during testing. Defects should be filed in Jira.\nVerification of issue resolution.\n\nThis position is an on-site role with a typical work schedule of Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm CST (1 hour lunch; exclude major holidays).\n\nCompensation range: $35.00-41.00/hr.\n\nExact compensation may vary based on several factors, including, but not limited to skills, experience, and education.\n\nEmployees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance.
