Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 24 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• 12 months of acute care experience within the last 2 years.

• 12 months of Trauma Level 1 facility is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Maine license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <90 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - MaineHealth.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - 1-2 years minimum. - IMC RNs must have Vent experience. - All RNs must have experience with tracheostomies and reading/interpreting telemetry strips.

Unit Details: - Patient ratios: Day Shift Med/Surg 1:4-5, Night Shift Med/Surg 1:5-6, Day and Night IMC 3:1. - IMC equipment includes ventilators, BiPAP, and CPAP. IMC and Med Tele equipment includes CPAP, nasal cannula, non-rebreather, epidural pumps, IV pumps, specialty beds, PCA pumps, VAC dressings, and trach care/maintenance. - Patient population includes respiratory, medical telemetry, some surgical, sepsis, DKA, altered mental status, failure to thrive, respiratory failure, and acute-on-chronic medical conditions.

Shift & Scheduling: - No call.

Floating Requirements: - IMC RNs may float to another IMC level-of-care unit within MMC and will float to med/surg as needed. Med/surg RNs may float to another med/surg unit with similar level of care. Floating is based on unit need, skill, and the needs of nursing units.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years

Driver’s license required for submission
