Survey Party Chief I Job Locations: US-MD-Frederick Duties, Responsibilities & Other This position is a Survey Party Chief which requires 4 - 8 years of experience supervising a survey field crew performing boundary and topographic surveys, construction stakeout, monitoring and as-built surveys. Must have the ability to manage a crew of surveyors in the field. Must have the ability to operate robotic total stations, electronic data collectors and RTK GPS equipment. Must have excellent math skills and be able to perform survey calculations in the field. Must have ability to interpret design plans and understand as-built drawings and roadway plans. Must have ability to create legible field sketches. A valid current driver's license. Ability to follow instructions, training and mentoring crews with a positive can‑do attitude are necessities. Must possess leadership and mentoring skills. Must be able to lift 50 pounds, walk for extended periods, work in all weather conditions, willing to work evenings/weekends when required, willing to travel for overnight and extended stay projects as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED is required. Minimum of 4 - 8 years of experience.
