Refrigeration Installation Services Welder

Career Opportunities with Central States Industrial (CSI) CSI is recruiting an experienced welder to perform installation services for our refrigeration systems at customer sites. The role includes TIG and SMAW welding, grinding, polishing, and operation of forklifts, torches, saws, drills, and other equipment. Accurate reading of tape, scales, blueprints, drawings, and schematics is required, with assistance in pipe fitting as needed. Responsibilities Work under the mentorship of a Lead Welder. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and represent the company positively at customer sites. Travel overnight and/or on weekends as required, up to 100% of the time, by air or company vehicles. Maintain and operate the tools and equipment provided by the company. Perform physical tasks such as lifting, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing, with assistance when lifting up to 75 pounds. Wear required personal protective equipment, including fall protection, safety glasses, and steel‑toe shoes. Required Skills Strong attention to detail to complete work as required. Good understanding of welding techniques and ability to apply them to create quality workmanship for the customer. Pride of ownership and acceptance of responsibility for work performed. Required Experience TIG and SMAW welding experience. GMAW welding experience (preferred). 2+ years of refrigeration welding (preferred). Pipe fitting experience (preferred). Blueprint reading experience (preferred). Knowledge of refrigeration systems. Experience operating basic construction equipment (preferred). Experience working at customers’ facilities (preferred).
