We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join a growing team in California. The person in this role will support billing operations connected to active projects, help maintain complete invoicing records, and work closely with internal teams to keep documentation and billing activity on track.

Responsibilities:
• Process a high volume of billing transactions and enter invoice information accurately within the company’s accounting platform.
• Prepare customer billing using established templates, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation to ensure timely submission.
• Review invoice details for completeness and correct discrepancies before bills are finalized and distributed.
• Support project-related billing activities by aligning invoice preparation with job progress, schedules, and related records.
• Maintain organized billing files, backup materials, and account documentation so information remains current and accessible.
• Coordinate with project teams and internal departments to obtain missing information, clarify charges, and prevent delays in billing.
• Assist with billing statements, collection-related follow-up, and other accounts receivable support tasks as needed.• Prior experience in billing, invoicing, accounts receivable, or accounting support is required.
• Proficiency with Excel, including the ability to work with templates, formulas, and pivot tables.
• Comfort using accounting or billing systems, including legacy platforms or less automated environments.
• Strong data entry accuracy and the ability to manage repetitive tasks with close attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate clearly with internal teams to resolve billing questions and gather necessary documentation.
• Experience supporting construction, industrial, or other project-based operations is strongly preferred.
• Capable of working effectively in a casual office setting with direct communication styles and shifting priorities.
