CT Technologist

The Radiology / Cardiology CT Technologist is responsible for performing CT imaging procedures with expertise and precision in an acute care hospital setting. This role involves operating CT equipment, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver accurate diagnostic images. The CT Tech must have recent patient care experience, proficiency with Epic charting software, and the ability to work weekend shifts within a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

• Perform CT imaging procedures accurately and efficiently across radiology and cardiology units.
• Operate and maintain CT scanning equipment in compliance with safety protocols.
• Prepare patients for procedures, explaining processes and ensuring comfort and safety.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to facilitate diagnostic and treatment plans.
• Document imaging results and patient information using Epic electronic health record system.
• Adhere to hospital policies regarding infection control, patient privacy, and safety standards.
• Manage workflow to maintain a 1:1 patient ratio during imaging procedures.
• Participate in continuing education and maintain current certifications relevant to CT technology.

• Current certification and licensure as a CT Technologist or Radiologic Technologist with CT specialization.
• Recent patient care experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system.
• Experience working in radiology and cardiology imaging departments.
• Ability to work weekends (Friday through Sunday) as scheduled.
• Strong knowledge of CT imaging protocols, patient safety, and radiation safety standards.

• Previous travel experience as a CT Technologist.
• Experience with multiple hospital units and ability to float between departments.
• Familiarity with short term acute care hospital environments.

• No on-call requirements.
• Weekend work required (Friday through Sunday).
• Hospital environment with a patient ratio of 1:1 during procedures.
• Compliance with hospital dress code and infection control policies.

• Weekend shifts scheduled Friday through Sunday.
• No block scheduling required.
• Shifts assigned based on hospital needs without on-call or 48-hour approvals.
