Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Proficiency working with 5th and 6th grade students
- Experience delivering resource support and individualized instruction
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs and adapt curriculum as needed
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive classroom atmosphere
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to students identified for special education services in a resource setting
- Design, implement, and monitor IEPs, adjusting strategies as student needs evolve
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to facilitate student success, both academically and socially
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress toward goals
- Communicate effectively with families about student achievements and areas for growth
- Uphold professional and ethical standards within all aspects of the educational setting
