Family Medicine Locum needed in Central Georgia

Additional Information

We are looking for a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Family Medicine Physician to join a well-regarded outpatient primary care practice in Georgia for a long-term locum tenens position. The selected provider will start at one clinic location in August and will transition to another clinic in September. This role is entirely outpatient, with no on-call duties, admissions, inpatient responsibilities, or hospital privileges required.

Position Highlights

Focus on outpatient Family Medicine
Work schedule: Monday to Friday
No on-call duties
No inpatient responsibilities
No hospital privileges necessary
Utilization of Epic EMR
Supportive clinical team, including RN, MA, NP/PA, and office personnel
Long-term assignment available through the end of the year
Opportunity to work with an established patient base

Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive outpatient primary care services
Diagnose and manage both acute and chronic medical conditions
Conduct preventive care and wellness examinations
Care for patients across all age groups, including:
- Newborns
- Infants
- Children
- Adolescents
- Adults
- Geriatric patients
Ensure accurate and timely documentation in Epic EMR
Collaborate with clinic staff to maintain high-quality patient care

Qualifications

MD or DO degree
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine
Active medical license in Georgia required
Current BLS certification
Comfortable treating patients of all ages
Experience with Epic EMR is preferred
