Position Details

• Hours: Full Time, with AM and PM shifts available
• Contract: This is a 13-week renewable contract, requiring 36 hours per week

Role Overview

As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver high-quality nursing services by collaborating with the patient care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while fostering a positive and supportive environment. You will serve as a key representative of the patient care team, acting as a liaison between patients, families, providers, and other team members. Your responsibilities will include:

Core Responsibilities

• Patient Care and Coordination: Monitor and evaluate patient conditions, assist in care planning, and take appropriate actions to enhance patient outcomes. Deliver care as outlined, using independent judgment when necessary. Collaborate with staff to communicate care plans effectively and ensure optimal patient flow and experience. Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, changes in condition, care provided, and any incidents related to care standards.
• Patient Advocacy and Satisfaction: Actively listen to patient concerns, understand their needs, and respond promptly. Serve as an educational resource for patients and families regarding health issues. Communicate essential patient information to families and care providers, ensuring a patient- and family-centered approach to care.
• Performance Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance the work environment and processes. Contribute ideas for solutions and support the implementation of changes aimed at improving patient quality outcomes, satisfaction, and organizational performance.
• Professional Competency and Growth: Maintain necessary licenses and certifications, complete required training, and seek out development opportunities. Stay informed about research and best practices in the industry and engage in professional organizations.
• Professional Leadership: Mentor and support the development of fellow nurses, contribute to a positive work environment, and uphold confidentiality and professional standards. Participate in peer feedback processes and promote the nursing profession while assisting in recruitment efforts.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Licenses and Certifications: All certifications must be obtained upon hire unless specified otherwise. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required, and a multi-state RN license is necessary.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required.
