Job Description Pharmacy Assistant - COVID-19 Vaccination (3 Months Contract, may not extend) – Baton Rouge, LA. Covid-19 Vaccination Support Client has a powerful purpose helping people on their path to better health. One of these initiatives includes administering the COVID-19 vaccine at clinic sites. PPE is provided. We are looking for Pharmacy Assistants who perform duties and/or support duties at COVID-19 immunization sites throughout their assigned region. They follow all CDC guidelines surrounding immunization administration in both clinical settings and outdoor drive-through settings. They perform COVID-19 testing duties at testing site and off-site testing events throughout the city. They ensure the provision of care according to program policies and standing orders, and local, state, and federal regulations. They network with and refer to community resources appropriate to client's needs. They document in and maintain individual electronic client records; educate and counsel clients, families, and the community in health promotion and disease prevention. They interview/counsel clients and conduct screenings and assessments. They travel to outlying areas in the city, possibly outside of normal business hours. Qualifications Strong experience as a Pharmacy Assistant.
