Shipping clerk

About the Role We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our warehouse operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that outgoing orders are accurately picked, securely packed, and shipped out on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify Orders: Match outgoing items against packing slips to ensure exact quantities and products.
• Pack & Label: Box, weigh, and seal shipments securely, attaching accurate carrier shipping labels (UPS, FedEx, Freight).
• Prepare Paperwork: Generate Bills of Lading (BOL), shipping manifests, and required export/customs documentation.
• Log Inventory: Update warehouse systems (WMS/ERP) in real time with tracking numbers and dispatched inventory.
• Load & Dispatch: Safely operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) to load delivery trucks and coordinate carrier handoffs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
• Proficiency with warehouse software (WMS/ERP) and shipping software (UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager).
• Ability to safely operate a forklift and pallet jack (certification is a plus).
• Attention to detail and ability to lift up to 35lbs.

salary: $18 - $24 per hour

work hours: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
