The Mission Exploitation Operating Unit (MEXOU) in Aurora, CO is looking for a Systems Engineer - Level 7 to join the Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) organization as the SEIT Lead. Roles and Responsibilities Diplomatically interface with all levels of management, employees, internal and external customers, and vendors Lead a diverse engineering team and be responsible for the end‑to‑end technical execution, cost, schedule, quality, and staffing for the MEXOU product line Apply multidisciplinary knowledge in systems design, software design, hardware, and integration and test Work accurately and independently, anticipating, initiating, and following through with all responsibilities Oversee engineering program planning and execution, Earned Value Management System (EVMS) reporting, briefings, and overall leadership and coordination of a multi‑disciplined engineering team May be tasked with project leadership and cost account management (CAM) responsibilities Represent in Engineering Review Board activities over the total systems lifecycle (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, and PSR) for the system technical baseline Understand DoD systems engineering requirements Basic Qualifications Strong understanding of requirements analysis, derivation, and management, CONOPs development, cost and risk analysis, and system design Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 16 years of relevant experience; 14 years with a Master’s; or 12 years with a Ph.D. Proactive, highly motivated, and adaptable, with excellent organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities independently Experience working in a technical environment interfacing with engineering and science leaders, managers, and employees Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and intranet/internet proficiency Must have a Top Secret Clearance with current SCI at time of application and willingness to sit for a polygraph Preferred Qualifications Experience with design and development of national security satellites, interfaces, ground systems architecture, or integration of multiple IPTs Experience working on Agile programs and methodologies Understanding and implementation of Model Based Systems Engineering TS/SCI with polygraph Experience in a defense customer and aerospace industry firm Experience with Northrop Grumman processes and procedures Primary Level Salary Range: $212,100.00 - $318,100.00 Benefits include discretionary bonuses, overtime, shift differential, and a variety of health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company‑paid holidays, and paid time off.
