Jakelin Construction, Inc. is looking for an experienced Carpenter to join our crew. We are a growing construction company based in Summersville, WV, completing residential and commercial projects throughout West Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky. We are looking for someone who knows construction, can work with a crew, and can be trusted to show up and get the job done. This is not an entry-level position. Applicants should have hands-on carpentry and construction experience. Our work varies from project to project and may include new construction, custom homes, commercial projects, remodels, and other general construction.

Job duties may include: • Wood framing, including walls, floors, roof systems, and structural components • Reading plans, layouts, measurements, and basic construction drawings • Installing windows and exterior/interior doors • Siding, soffit, fascia, and exterior trim • Roofing and related exterior work • Interior carpentry and trim work • Remodeling and renovation work • Measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing building materials • Using hand and power tools safely and correctly • Working alongside foremen and other crew members to keep projects moving • Keeping jobsites clean, organized, and safe • Performing other construction-related work as projects require What we're looking for: • Previous carpentry/construction experience required • Strong framing experience preferred • Ability to work independently without constant supervision • Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a crew • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, climbing, bending, and working outdoors • Valid driver's license and dependable transportation • Willingness to travel to jobsites as needed • Must follow all company and jobsite safety requirements This is a full-time position. Work locations vary depending on our current projects, and some projects may require travel or working away from home. Pay is based on experience and demonstrated skill level.
