Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity offers a dynamic role as a Pharmacy Technician supporting a busy pharmacy environment in Clearwater, FL. Over the 13-week contract, you will engage in critical tasks that ensure seamless prescription processing and exceptional patient service. The position operates Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, with an anticipated start date about 1.5 to 2 weeks following offer acceptance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately process prescriptions and handle insurance adjudications, promptly resolving any claim rejections.
• Prepare, package, and label medications for pharmacist verification and assist with packing and shipping.
• Perform data entry and manage prescription documentation while maintaining effective communication with patients and prescribers.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through daily cycle counts, restocking, and expiration checks.
• Support returns, medication quarantines, and proper destruction procedures.
• Cross-train in various pharmacy areas to provide flexible department support.
• Ensure adherence to HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulations to safeguard compliance.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Active PTCB certification and Florida pharmacy technician license in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy technician experience; call center experience is a plus.
• Strong multitasking, organizational, and time management abilities.
• Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with patients, healthcare providers, and team members.
