Overview
Registered Nurse – Med Surg in Hilo, Hawaii. Start date: 10/05/2026. Duration: 15 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,895–$2,047. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: 12-hour days (3x12). Setting: hospital travel assignment. This opening is for Med/Surg patients with float duties across units as needed.

Responsibilities
- Float between Medical Unit, Laulima Unit, and, on rare occasions, Cardiovascular Unit to support staffing needs
- Provide inpatient medical-surgical nursing care including assessment, monitoring, and documentation
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; collaborate with the care team
- Utilize Meditech EMR for charting; manage Pyxis, wound VAC, and chest tubes equipment as required
- Maintain patient safety with appropriate nursing interventions and accurate handoffs between shifts
- Adhere to unit-specific protocols, infection control practices, and professional dress standards (clean scrubs)

Requirements
- Hawaii RN license active by start of assignment
- BLS required; ACLS required (Preferred: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC)
- 2–10 years of RN experience in medical-surgical or closely related settings
- Able to float to Medical Unit; Laulima Unit; Cardiovascular Unit (rare occasions)
- 12-hour shifts; days; scheduled 36 hours per week following orientation; no guaranteed hours
- Must arrive the Thursday before start for employee health appointments; orientation time provided

Education
- Registered Nurse licensure (RN) current and active in Hawaii by start date
