We are currently seeking a responsible, dedicated, and proactive individual to join our team as a Transportation Operations Manager. Responsibilities Operations Management Oversee the daily operations of the transportation department, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all processes. Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve service quality and operational efficiency. Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement. Supervise and provide guidance to the team of motor coach operators and support staff. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and development opportunities. Foster a positive, collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and high customer service standards. Fleet Management Manage the maintenance and repair schedule for the fleet of motor coaches, ensuring all vehicles are in safe and operational condition. Coordinate with maintenance staff and external vendors for timely and cost-effective repairs. Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and inspections. Customer Service Address customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner to ensure high standards of customer service are maintained. Implement strategies to enhance the customer experience and improve satisfaction. Compliance and Safety Ensure compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and other applicable laws. Develop and enforce safety policies and procedures to minimize risk and ensure the safety of passengers and staff. Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions. Develop and manage the transportation department budget, ensuring cost control and efficient resource allocation. Monitor expenses and implement cost‑saving measures without compromising service quality. Prepare regular financial reports and performance summaries for senior management. Strategic Planning Contribute to the development of long-term strategic plans for the transportation department. Identify opportunities for growth and expansion of services. Collaborate with senior management to align departmental goals with the overall company vision. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Transportation Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 8 years experience in transportation operations management or a similar role. Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation industry standards. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays. Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities. Proficiency in transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Qualifications Experience in managing a fleet of motor coaches or similar vehicles. Certification in transportation or logistics management. Familiarity with route planning and scheduling software. Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer or in meetings. Capable of conducting vehicle inspections and visiting maintenance facilities.
