Travel Contract RN – Emergency Department

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting across a 12-hour night shift
• Perform and assist with procedures including conscious sedation, intubations, behavioral health watch, sepsis management, stroke care (TPA administration), and chest pain/heart alert protocols
• Administer and document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Float to other units as needed in accordance with facility floating policy
• Participate in team-based care, maintaining strong communication with interdisciplinary staff
• Adhere to all facility dress code, attendance, and unit-specific policies including the Methodist Acknowledgement Form requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas RN License (temporary licenses will not be accepted)
• Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Department RN experience
• Current PALS or ENPC certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• Current TNCC certification
• Current NIHSS certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) credential
• Prior experience with Meditech documentation system
• Demonstrated strong teamwork and communication skills in a high-acuity environment
