What will you get to do

• Support project teams in multiple capacities including design of mechanical systems fabrication drawings BOMs schematics assembly drawings etc.
• Optimally communicate within a team environment
• Coaching and mentoring junior team members
• Work to deadlines with minimal supervision
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers
• Participate in client meetings and internal engineering design reviews
• Generate content for project proposals including developing concepts and estimating effort and equipment cost
• In the process of machine build support technicians solve problems and offer solutions

What will you bring to the team

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university plus equivalent experience
• Minimum 8 years experience in a design engineering role with experience in indirectly coaching and guiding junior team members.
• Strong written and verbal communications organizational and time management skills
• Strong interpersonal skills to work and support a team environment
• Familiarity with motion systems pneumatics hydraulics robots etc.
• Experience user of CAD packages SolidWorks preferred
• Use of engineering tools such as Mathcad Ansys or equivalent FEA packages is a plus
• Experience designing mechanisms for automation complex electro-mechanical systems and/or mechanical solutions that require a high level of precision is a plus

Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

The base salary range for this position is $ 102000- $153000 per year. This range represents the Companys good faith estimate of the base compensation for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors including but not limited to relevant experience skills qualifications internal equity and geographic addition to base salary this role may be eligible for annual incentive compensation and/or long-term incentives subject to Company plans. The Company offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical dental vision retirement paid time off and other benefits.

This role can sit in Merrimack NH or Kalamazoo MI.
