Associate Director, Facilities

Lead facilities and maintenance operations for a GMP cell therapy manufacturing center in Rockville. Oversee a technical team, ensure regulatory compliance and equipment reliability, and drive continuous improvement to support efficient production and site growth.
Responsibilities
- Provide operational leadership for facility maintenance, utilities, and site support services
- Lead, manage, and develop the facilities and maintenance team; establish priorities and drive accountability
- Develop and implement maintenance plans, preventive programs, and calibration schedules aligned with business and regulatory needs
- Ensure equipment reliability, compliance, and availability to minimize downtime and protect production schedules
- Partner with manufacturing, quality, engineering, and other functions to resolve equipment issues and support capital projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in facilities, engineering, maintenance, or related technical field
- Significant experience in facilities or maintenance operations management
- Demonstrated leadership experience in GMP pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of GMP requirements, equipment maintenance, and safety standards
- Experience leading and developing technical teams
- Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and budgeting skills
Compensation: $118,750.40 - $178,125.60 USD base annually
