The Systems Administrator is required to have an active secret security clearance as they will be responsible for deploying and maintaining classified IT infrastructures. Besides supporting our noble mission and collaborating with talented individuals, other benefits at Collins Aerospace include a flexible 9/80 schedule, technical training, career growth opportunities, and new technology immersion. **This is onsite position in Mckinney, TXWhat You Will Do *You will provide System Administration in a heterogeneous Redhat 7 & 8 Enterprise Linux environment.Understanding and knowledge of Linux Server internals to include DNS, File sharing protocols, DHCP, AD integration via LDAP, file system structures and permissions. Working as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment.  Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS).Understanding data backup uses and technologies.Install and configure software applications requested by end users.Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements.Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570Certification requirements within 6 months of start date.Qualifications You Must Have:Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearanceAn active DoD Secret clearance is required.Experience with security infrastructure products and capabilities.Must have experience with Redhat servers and workstations.Experience using VMware vCenter, vSphere, VDI (Horizon), and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods.Must be able to develop solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problems.
