Job Description Senior Oncology Specialist We are seeking a Senior Oncology Specialist to serve as the primary customer contact, providing comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen’s oncology products to medical professionals and driving sales within the assigned territory. Responsibilities Create and execute a comprehensive territory plan, delivering branded sales messages, executing programs, scheduling educational events, and achieving or exceeding sales targets. Utilize internal and external relationships to service and manage accounts, ensuring product access, resolving reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts. Craft effective marketing strategies to drive sales and analyze the effectiveness of sales activities through territory analysis. Communicate the clinical and economic benefits of products to healthcare professionals while maintaining a passion for patient service throughout the sales cycle. Collaborate with colleagues, share best practices, and continuously learn to grow as a Senior Oncology Specialist. Leverage knowledge of oncology, disease state awareness, regulation, and competition to deliver agreed results. Minimum Qualifications High School/GED. Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare or scientific field not sales related. Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience. High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience. Preferred Qualifications Preferred experience in oncology. Three or more years of sales or marketing experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or medical device industries. Experience in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, or infectious diseases. Local market knowledge. Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration. Adaptability with core competencies: planning and organizing; leveraging business, industry, and technical knowledge; communicating with impact; driving for results; cultivating relationships. Benefits & Compensation The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is $140,465 to $190,041. The actual salary will vary based on relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
