Gotham Enterprises Ltd is actively seeking a passionate and skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) to join our dedicated School Mental Health Team at our Private School located in Barre, Vermont. This full-time position offers the unique opportunity to provide crucial mental health services within a diverse and supportive school environment. This position is primarily remote, providing the flexibility to manage responsibilities effectively while ensuring that students receive top-tier mental health support. However, our Hospice Center may require your occasional presence to facilitate direct interactions or assessments as needed. Our work schedule typically spans Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with potential evening shifts or rotating weekends based on school operations and student needs. In emergencies, on-call availability will be crucial for providing timely support during mental health crises.

  Conduct thorough mental health assessments that encompass the student's personal history, presenting issues, and risk factors, allowing for a tailored approach to care.

  Develop and execute individualized treatment plans in partnership with students, focusing on addressing specific mental health challenges while promoting integration and engagement within the school community.

  Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-focused therapy, to effectively address a variety of mental health concerns.

  Lead both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at fostering personal growth, emotional regulation, and the adoption of effective coping mechanisms.

  Coordinate care with fellow mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and psychologists, ensuring a holistic treatment approach that caters to the complexities of each case.

  Provide crisis intervention services during emergencies, using de-escalation tactics, and facilitating necessary referrals for more intensive care when required.

  Educate students and families about mental health issues, treatments, and available resources, empowering them to engage actively in their mental well-being.

  Maintain meticulous records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with applicable legal and ethical standards to ensure quality care and accountability.

  Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences, contributing insights and strategies that enhance collaborative treatment and holistic student care.

  Stay informed about evolving laws, regulations, and best practices in school mental health to ensure that our services remain compliant and effective.

You will work primarily with a diverse student body, each grappling with unique emotional and psychological challenges. Your expertise will help to create strategies that address complex needs ranging from anxiety and depression to trauma and behavioral difficulties, ultimately contributing to students’ academic success and emotional health.

  Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.

  Current and valid LICSW licensure in the state of Vermont.

  A minimum of two years of experience post-licensure in mental health settings, ideally within educational environments.

  Demonstrated proficiency in assessing mental health and formulating actionable treatment strategies.
