You don’t need an insurance background to get started, but you do need the motivation to learn, sell, and build a business.
The Farmers Insurance Associate Agent Program is a one-year program that provides training, coaching, and guidance as you develop your client base and the skills needed to run your own insurance office.
You bring the ambition and accountability. We provide coaching and resources to help you move forward.

Licensing Support
A California insurance license is required to participate. We provide free access to an exam preparation course, study materials, and guidance through the licensing steps . If you’re committed to earning your license, we’ll support you along the way.
What To Expect
- Explain insurance options and recommend coverage based on client needs
- Prepare price quotes, answer questions, address concerns, and close sales
- Find new customers through provided leads, referrals, and outreach
- Follow up consistently and build lasting client relationships
Who We’re Looking For
- Motivated to succeed in sales and build an insurance business
- Able to manage your time and follow through independently
- Willing to learn, accept feedback, and take responsibility for results
