Field Install Technician

We are seeking a Field Install Technician for a role in the Miami area. This position involves the installation and programming of security systems in residential communities and for small business customers. The role offers the potential for permanent conversion based on performance and provides mileage reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform low voltage equipment installations, add-ons, conversions, and radio replacements.
• Conduct wire pulling for residential and small business security systems.
• Run remote tests to ensure all equipment operates correctly.
• Interact with customers, providing education on services and ensuring satisfaction.
• Track all job-related inventory and tasks using a smartphone, laptop, or tablet.
• Engage in upselling opportunities at each job site.

Required Qualifications

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience: Candidates must have experience with low voltage systems, Burglar Alarms (BA), and CAT 5/CAT 6 cabling. CCTV experience is also required.

Technical Skills: Proficiency with basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire cutters, drills, and multimeters is necessary.

Other Requirements: A current and valid State Driver's License is mandatory. Candidates must own reliable transportation (SUV or large 4-door sedan), basic hand tools, and a 6 ft+ ladder (collapsible is acceptable).

Preferred Qualifications

• A background in networking.
• Experience with smart home installations.
• Previous experience in a sales or customer-facing role.
• Demonstrated organizational skills, particularly with inventory management.
• Strong customer service skills.

Compensation & Benefits

The pay rate for this position is between $25.00 and $27.00 per hour, based on experience. Mileage will be reimbursed at a rate of $0.265 per mile, up to 400 miles per week.
