We are looking for an Ophthalmic Technician who is willing to travel our Queens and potentially Brooklyn locations and help in our mission of providing top notch medical services to our Union members. It's an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to make an impact for under-represented communities and have a stable work schedule (No weekends and no overnights!) Duties and responsibilities: Gather medical records and patient information; document patient medical history. Perform eye function tests and exams such as, Non-Contact Tonometry, Retinal Photography, Visual Fields Testing, and Optical Coherence Tomography. Analyze test results. Administer and/or prepare medication. Provide eye care information to patient. Maintain and clean ophthalmic instruments. Assist Optometrists in basic procedures. Required Qualifications: 2-3 years’ experience as an Ophthalmic Technician performing autorefractor,Non-Contact Tonometry, Visual Fields Testing and Optical Coherence Tomography exams. Professional proficiency in the Spanish language preferred.
