About the Position

Job Title: Travel RN - Orthopedic Surgery Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Orthopedic Surgery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in acute care orthopedic setting License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. BLS certification. At least 1 year of current hospital acute care orthopedic experience. Description: We are seeking a traveling Registered Nurse for the orthopedic surgery unit. The unit has a total of 18 beds and employs about 50 staff members. Patient ratios are 4:1 for spine patients and 5:1 for orthopedic patients. The team consists of charge nurses, registered nurses, and patient care technicians. Typical equipment used includes telemetry, epidurals, PCAs, ice machines, and Sara Steady. The EMR system in use is Meditech. Typical procedures performed in the unit include central line care, blood transfusions, and catheterization. We value teamwork and collaboration within our staff.
