Major/Essential Functions Professionally clean teeth including prophylaxis and scaling and root planing. Presents instructions on proper personal oral hygiene. Captures digital radiographs. Administers topical fluoride. Disinfects surfaces and dental equipment. Sterilizes dental instruments according to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations. Takes thorough inventory of instruments through daily counts and logs. Serve as Dental Assistant when needed. Proper record keeping and maintenance both in manual and automated systems. Ensure dental supplies are on hand and ordered in a timely manner. Answer sick call requests and schedules patients in a timely manner. Applicants will be considered for either a Full‑Time or a Part‑Time Registered Dental Hygienist Position. Required Qualifications Full‑Time Registered Dental Hygienist: Education: A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent, completion of an approved dental hygiene training program; licensed to practice dental hygiene by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners. Part‑Time Registered Dental Hygienist: Education: A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent, completion of an approved dental hygiene training program; licensed to practice dental hygiene by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners. Job Type Full Time Pay Basis Hourly Pay Grade Minimum $38.00 Pay Grade Maximum $39.10 Pay Statement Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan. No Travel Required Up to 25% Shift Day Schedule Details Will discuss during interview Visa Information TTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H‑1B I‑129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by Governor Abbott. Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission is required. On a limited, case‑by‑case basis, the institution may also sponsor eligible individuals for change‑of‑status or change‑of‑employer petitions for qualifying positions. TTUHSC will not pay the $100,000 fee, if applicable.
