Due to a promotion of an employee that has been there for nine years, a stable, profitable automotive supplier is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Controller to oversee two accounting professionals with an average tenure of 23+ years. The Manufacturing Controller will report to the CFO and will be responsible for the following duties:
- Motivating, coaching and developing your accounting team
- Championing the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing for three businesses, including being hands on with reconciliation, analysis and reporting
- Confirming all entries are completed and staff activities are done in a timely manner for closing preparation
- Completing budget analysis, including gathering needed budget information and educating team members on budget goals and status
- Overseeing inventory analysis, including making inventory adjustments and monitoring cycle counts
- Establishing, updating and understanding standard cost
- Completing all bank reconciliation, including cash management and forecasting, as well as communicating with banks
- Working with third party financial auditors
- Tracking operations CI activity and monitoring cost savings
- Supplying all needed accounting and financial reporting to the leadership team
- Other duties as directed by management

REQUIREMENTS for the Manufacturing Controller:
- A Bachelor's degree is required; a finance, accounting or business degree is preferred
- At least five years in a similar lead manufacturing accounting and/or finance position
- Experience working in fast-paced manufacturing environments
- Experience with month and year-end closing as a key contributor, if not the leader
- Experience with budgeting
- Experience with inventory analysis
- Experience with reporting
- Experience working with ERP systems
- Microsoft Office, including MS Excel skills with pivot tables and Vlookups
Skills preferred, but NOT required:
- Automotive supplier experience
- Cost accounting skills
- PowerBI
