Due to a promotion of an employee that has been there for nine years, a stable, profitable automotive supplier is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Controller to oversee two accounting professionals with an average tenure of 23+ years. The Manufacturing Controller will report to the CFO and will be responsible for the following duties:

• Motivating, coaching and developing your accounting team
• Championing the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing for three businesses, including being hands on with reconciliation, analysis and reporting
• Confirming all entries are completed and staff activities are done in a timely manner for closing preparation
• Completing budget analysis, including gathering needed budget information and educating team members on budget goals and status
• Overseeing inventory analysis, including making inventory adjustments and monitoring cycle counts
• Establishing, updating and understanding standard cost
• Completing all bank reconciliation, including cash management and forecasting, as well as communicating with banks
• Working with third party financial auditors
• Tracking operations CI activity and monitoring cost savings
• Supplying all needed accounting and financial reporting to the leadership team
• Other duties as directed by management

REQUIREMENTS for the Manufacturing Controller:

• A Bachelor's degree is required; a finance, accounting or business degree is preferred
• At least five years in a similar lead manufacturing accounting and/or finance position
• Experience working in fast-paced manufacturing environments
• Experience with month and year-end closing as a key contributor, if not the leader
• Experience with budgeting
• Experience with inventory analysis
• Experience with reporting
• Experience working with ERP systems
• Microsoft Office, including MS Excel skills with pivot tables and Vlookups

Skills preferred, but NOT required:

• Automotive supplier experience
• Cost accounting skills
• PowerBI
